Ambassador Ebrahimkhel attends side event on Improving the Management of Cardiovascular Diseases in Women, which took place on the side-lines of the IAEA’s 63rd General Conference. Experts at the event reviewed the pivotal role of nuclear techniques in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases, particularly in women. Panellists discussed the importance of recognizing the atypical symptoms of cardiovascular diseases in women for treatment and diagnosis.

Ambassador Ebrahimkhel attended this important event to stand for women empowerment and health equality. We need to empower women, society at large, health care providers and the medical community to reach health equality.

IAEA support is essential for providing better diagnostic care, providing training in medical imaging in cardiology and strengthening clinical standards, educational resources and opportunities for Afghan specialists.
