Ambassador Khojesta Fana Ebrahimkhel delivered a statement at the International Narcotics Control Board (INCB) presentation on its annual report and precursors report for 2019, on the 5th of February, in Vienna.
In her statement, Ambassador Ebrahimkhel expressed her gratitude to the INCB for its decade-long support to Afghanistan in the country’s efforts to combat the world drug problem. More specifically, the Ambassador expressed her appreciation for the tireless efforts of the INCB and its teams of researchers in preparing the two insightful reports, namely its annual report and its precursor report for 2019.
Ambassador Ebrahimkhel highlighted the vast importance of the report on precursors for 2019, which continues to be used as a reference point for monitoring and analyzing the latest trends in precursor control. The Ambassador further emphasized the need for countries to commit to the principle of shared and common responsibility, as it is only through this commitment that the world drug problem can be fully eradicated.
