Ambassador Khojesta Fana Ebrahimkhel hosted a working dinner for the Ambassadors of countries celebrating the International Day of Nowruz, on the 13th of February, in Vienna. The working dinner is part of a larger range of activities the Permanent Mission of Afghanistan, as this year’s host and organizer, is putting up in honor of Nowruz.
In her opening remarks at the working dinner, Ambassador Ebrahimkhel highlighted the harmony and joy that stand at the core of Nowruz festivities. The Ambassador stated that one of the most paramount achievements of Nowruz as a celebration is its ability to construe unity in diversity. In this regard, the spirit that Nowruz conveys should serve as a source of inspiration, and, indeed, as a driver for future cooperation initiatives.
The working dinner provided an outlet through which the attending Ambassadors could share ideas on potential performances and concepts on the upcoming Nowruz festivities, which are to be held on the 17th of March. The attendees constructively engaged in various discussions, as well as in information- and idea-sharing as pertaining to the celebrations. The dinner was ultimately successful in achieving the objectives it set forth.
